Co-Manager CLSS Dock Program

Randy Gneiwotta CLSS Treasurer and (lone) Co-Manager for the CLSS Dock program is looking for another person to share the work with him.
Please see below for a detailed description of the position,, it sounds like a lot but there are many volunteers and the work is always fun… plus you have a co-Manager to help,,,,

CLSS Dock Co-Manager(s) Duties

  • Respond to phone calls from the RDKB or Private Residences for dock removal/demolition requests
  • Do a site visit to determine the size and construction of the dock, flotation system, take photos for a year end dock report, determine demolition location feasibility, sometimes the only access to a dock is via a boat
  • Prepare an estimate based on the site visit using current charge out rates
  • Email/Phone quote to client, then follow up and review with them
  • After we have a go ahead on a dock project determine a time with the owner to do the demolition work
  • Send out an email to volunteers to see who can help out for a particular project
  • Coordinate manpower and tools required to do the demolition, hand tools, chain saws, dump trailers, tow boat, flat deck trailer, loaders, etc
  • Set up the project before the demolition work starts
  • Ensure volunteers are using proper PPE and following safe work practices
  • Haul away recycled materials to the WTS and save tipping charges receipt
  • Haul away any wood to be salvaged, deck boards, logs, aluminum pontoons, etc
  • Ensure beach area is clean and free of nails or screws when the work is done
  • Track all of the demolition process expenses for each project
  • Prepare and send out an invoice to the customer for the donation payment
  • Job cost each project so we can compare the estimate to the actual expenses
  • Prepare a year end dock report for the RDKB and CLSS Private Docks
  • Attend the year end volunteer appreciation event
